Ron Shanks is a justice of the peace and has been the President of the Music Centre from 2020 having been a long term member of the Music Centre Committee.
Ron is a life member of the Holdfast Bay Concert Band and was a founding member in 1983 of both the Concert Band and the Lindy Hip Big Band and was an active proposer of the creation of the Music Centre.
Ron is now retired having worked in a variety of positions in the South Australian public service, the National Transport Commission and the Australian and New Zealand Driverless Vehicle Initiative (ADVI) having been awarded a Public Service Medal in 2000 for his services to public service in transport.
